Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly issued the Implementation Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of "Artificial Intelligence +" in Energy (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions), delineating a scientific path for the in-depth integration of energy and AI. This new policy marks that China’s energy sector is entering a systematic and revolutionary transformation—with AI as the core driving force, it will reshape the entire chain of energy production, transmission, and consumption, laying a solid foundation for building a high-quality energy supply system and a high-level energy security barrier.

On September 3, the Forum on Transformation and Upgrading of Precision Casting Industry in Northeast China's Three Provinces and One Autonomous Region convenes in Shenyang. Centering on the theme of "Focusing on Green and Intelligent Upgrading of Precision Casting, Sharing Practical Experience and Case Studies of Transformation," the forum is closely aligned with current industry development trends. Focusing on the core issues of green and intelligent transformation of precision casting enterprises, we invite industry research institutes and outstanding enterprises to conduct in-depth discussions and share successful practical cases of transformation and upgrading. They shared the successful practical cases of transformation and upgrading, providing valuable insights for enterprises to break through development bottlenecks and identify transformation paths. The forum established a high-quality exchange platform for precision casting enterprises in Northeast China's three provinces and one autonomous region to "break bottlenecks, identify paths, and promote collaboration."

To promote innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and green development in the foundry industry, the China Foundry Association has scheduled the "10th Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum" to take place in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, from September 24 to 26, 2025.

The forum will invite relevant leaders from national ministries to attend. Industry experts will be delivering keynote reports focusing on current topics of innovation and development, intelligent manufacturing, and green foundry practices. They will share and exchange practical experiences from exemplary green and smart factories.

This exhibition will take place from September 1st to 4th at the Shenyang International Exhibition Center.

The exhibition meets the market demand in Northeast Asia, aggregating procurement, cooperation, investment, and supply chain restructuring resources from Japan, South Korea, Russia, and beyond. Featuring six core exhibition zones - including machine tool castings, automotive castings, rail transit castings, and high-end equipment. It creates a premium platform. By integrating industry resources with academic and research expertise,  the event empowers enterprises to secure key positions in industrial chain upgrades. It strengthens the synergy between innovation, production, and supply chains in Northeast China’s equipment manufacturing sector, driving capacity cooperation and technological commercialization to fuel the revitalization of the region’s economy.

According to customs statistics, China's total import and export of goods in the first half of the year reached 21.79 trillion yuan, representing a 2.9% year-on-year increase. Exports amounted to 13 trillion yuan, up 7.2%, while imports totaled 8.79 trillion yuan, down 2.7%. In June, imports, exports, and overall trade all achieved positive year-on-year growth, with accelerating growth rates.  

From the perspective of foreign trade entities, in the first half of the year, private enterprises recorded imports and exports of 12.48 trillion yuan, a 7.3% year-on-year increase, accounting for 57.3% of China's total foreign trade, up 2.3 percentage points from the same period last year. Foreign-invested enterprises saw imports and exports of 6.32 trillion yuan, a 2.4% year-on-year increase, marking the fifth consecutive quarter of growth. The number of foreign-invested enterprises with actual import and export activities in China has reached 75,000, the highest for the same period since 2021.

On the morning of July 1, 2025, a delegation from the Asian International Trade and Investment Chamber visited the China Foundry Association (CFA) to engage in in-depth discussions on key areas such as international exhibition cooperation, trade and investment services. The visit was led by Mrs. Chamaiporn Chuecharoan, Honorary Chairwoman of the Asian International Trade and Investment Chamber and former Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Kunming. Accompanying her were Honorary Chairman Wu Zhiyi, Advisor Mr. Eakavud Chuecharoan, and Assistant to the Chairman and Translator Mr. Pipat Krudchamnong. Zhao Rui, Vice General Manager of Ximac International Exhibition Co., Ltd., Li Daobo, Senior Project Manager of the First Business Division, and Liu Mingyang, Operation Manager, also participated in the visit. They were warmly welcomed by Wang Dongsheng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Foundry Association, Gao Wei, Executive Vice President, Chen Xing, Deputy Secretary-General, Cao Linfeng, and You Yang from the National Exhibition Department.

Since the new round of power system reform was deployed and implemented by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, the construction of China's power market has been steadily and orderly advanced. A multi-competitive subject pattern is formed, the scale of market-based transaction expanded year by year, and the ability and role of the market in allocating resources continuously improves. 

Starting from June 1 this year, all newly-commissioned new energy power generation projects will, in principle, be traded in the market, with electricity prices determined by the market. 

The full entry of new energy into the market broke down regional barriers, promoted the expansion of cross-provincial and cross-regional transaction scales, and is conducive to the optimal allocation of power resources across the country. The construction of the power market is further accelerating.

According to MIIT, on June 3, Li Lecheng, Party Secretary and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, chaired a meeting to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on artificial intelligence, implement major decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee and the State Council, and study approaches to promote the development of the AI industry and its empowerment of new industrialization. Ministry leaders Ye Min, Xiong Jijun, Shan Zhongde, Xie Yuansheng, and Xie Shaofeng attended the meeting and delivered exchange speeches.

Recently, Zhang Libo, President of the China Foundry Association, and Gao Wei, Executive Vice President, along with a group of six people, visited Liaozhong District for an inspection and investigation. Feng Dongchang, Deputy District Head, Zhu Dayong, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Shenyang Liaozhong Economic Development Zone, and relevant comrades accompanied them.

Zhang Libo and his party made on-site visits to the Liaozhong No.1 Headquarters Base Project of the China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Industrial Park and the Offshore Station of the National Production Service-oriented Logistics Hub. Combining the park planning with the project site, Zhu Dayong introduced in detail the basic situations such as the industrial layout, resource endowment, infrastructure construction, and the development of the foundry industry in the development zone.
